You don't have to have a pre-existing back problem to experience back aches and pain in pregnancy. The simple presence of the additional weight of the baby in the womb, or the developing breasts can promote postural strain on the low and mid back, and/or shoulders and neck. The more tired you are the more your posture will strain to hold up the extra weights.
Treatments are very informed and in the antenatal stage can; support the posture; strengthen and align the back safely and gently; promote good sleep and relaxation; and counter conditions such as morning sickness which could otherwise tire and slump the posture further.
